DOE invests up to $114 million in four biomass projects

Over the next four years, the U.S. DOE will invest up to $114 million for four small-scale biorefinery projects. ICM Inc. received up to $30 million for a proposed cellulosic ethanol plant in St. Joseph, Mo. Lignol Innovations Inc. received up to $30 million for a proposed cellulosic ethanol plant colocated with a petroleum refinery in Commerce City, Colo., and Pacific Ethanol Inc. received up to $24.3 million for a proposed cellulosic ethanol plant in Boardman, Ore.
