With the calendar turning the page to June, we’re pressing full steam ahead here at BBI for the 2011 International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo. As always, we have an amazing lineup of speakers for both the plenary and breakout sessions. The racing theme this year is striking a chord – we’re already trying to expand the Wednesday evening Brickyard Bash because so many want to attend.

Late last week, we pinned down the final details for the tour of Poet’s newest ethanol plant (and first acquisition) just 30 miles west of the Indianapolis airport in Cloverdale. There’s limited seats for that tour, so be sure to sign up on the conference website if you’re interested. www.FuelEthanolWorkshop.com.

The deadline is also approaching quickly for FEW scholarships. Please pass the word to employees of ethanol producers that they themselves, or their families, can apply for the scholarship online at the conference website.

The weeks before FEW are very busy in this office. There are thousands of details the conference planning team has to pin down, and for the editorial team, this time of year brings the largest magazines of the year. And, the news important to the ethanol industry never seems to slow down. Watch the website – we’re posting stories nearly every day.
