Omaha, Neb. - The Gavilon Group LLC today announced that Randy Ives has joined Gavilon as director of ethanol services. Ives will be responsible for promoting Gavilon's physical margin management services, including ethanol and dried distillers grain with solubles (DDGS) marketing, and corn procurement.
Ives brings to Gavilon more than 25 years of renewable-fuels-industry experience. Most recently, he was senior vice president of Distillers Grain at Hawkeye Gold LLC. He has also been instrumental in the formation of numerous ethanol organizations, including ICM Marketing Inc., where he served as president, and United Bio Energy LLC, where he served as senior vice president. Ives is actively involved in a number of industry organizations, including the Renewable Fuels Association, American Coalition for Ethanol and Growth Energy. In addition, he has served as chair of the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association's Co-Products Committee and U.S. Grains Council's Value Add Team.

Ives earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
