Governors group signals support for all biofuels

January 3, 2009

The Governors' Ethanol Coalition changed the name of its group to the Governor's Biofuels Coalition at its annual meeting in Billings, Mont., in late September. Its current membership includes governors from 34 states led by Chairman and Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich. The governors chose the new name to reflect the organization's support of all biofuels, which have become prominent since the coalition was organized in 1991 to promote increased ethanol use and production in its members' states.
