Intrepid receives additional contract awards

Intrepid Technology and Resources Inc., a renewable energy company, recently received $147,000 from various environmental organizations, academia and others, according to Intrepid spokesman Stephen Ellis. Intrepid also received $680,000 in November. Ellis told EPM the most recent funds went directly to the Wendell (Idaho) Renewable Energy Field, where waste byproducts are converted to methane gas through anaerobic digestion. The gas is then used to power anything from microturbines to gasoline-fired vehicles, Ellis said. EP
