LaBelle resigns from SEDC

March 27, 2007

After five years with the Saskatchewan Ethanol Development Council (SEDC)—two of which he served as president—Lionel LaBelle resigned in early January to run for a political office, although he lost the election by a tight margin in January. Described by his peers as synonymous with the SEDC, LaBelle helped Saskatchewan become a leader in the ethanol industry, according to SEDC Cochairman C.M. "Red" Williams. The SEDC elected Ken Graham as its new president in January.
