Brazil-based Petrobras on June 17 announced it has completed the production and sale of its first batch of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) made from CORSIA-certified soybean oil. The soybean oil was sourced from Bunge.
OMV Petrom SA has concluded a sales contract with OMV Downstream GmbH, a fully owned subsidiary of OMV AG, for part of the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) to be produced in Petrobrazi refinery.
Petrobras on June 19 announced its board of directors has approved a $1.2 billion project to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel at its existing Presidente Bernardes Refinery (RPBC), located in Cubatão, São Paulo, Brazil.
EcoCeres announced the extension of its sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) supply agreement with British Airways until the end of 2030. The SAF is produced from 100% waste-based feedstocks, such as used cooking oil (UCO).
The U.S. EPA on June 18 released data showing nearly 2.02 billion RINs were generated under the RFS in May, up nearly 4% when compared to the same month of last year. Total RIN generation for the first five months of 2026 reached 9.66 billion.
