George Pataki and John Cahill, two former New York state officials, have joined the law firm Chadbourne & Parke LLP, where they will focus on energy, environmental and corporate matters. Pataki previously served three terms as governor, during which Cahill served as Pataki's secretary and chief of staff. Pataki's initiatives during his term as governor included the adoption of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, landmark brownfield legislation, and programs to enhance the production and use of alternative energy like biodiesel, ethanol, fuel cells and clean coal. "It's an honor to be at one of the pre-eminent law firms when it comes to dealing with renewable sources of energy," Pataki said.
