Pure Biofuels to construct plant in Peru

Peru-based Pure Biofuels recently announced plans to build its first biodiesel facility at Callao Port near Lima, Peru. The facility will have a total capacity of 52 MMgy but will consist of three 17.5 MMgy modules. The plant is scheduled to begin producing biodiesel from crude palm oil in August, according to a company press release. Polindustria has been named the general contractor for the project, and Capricorn Chemical Engineering SA will act as engineer.
