Sprague terminal adds biodiesel

Sprague Energy, an energy wholesaler, has opened a biodiesel distribution facility at its terminal in South Portland, Maine, according to Marketing Manager Tim Keaveney. The terminal has the capacity to store 40,000 gallons of B100 to blend with diesel fuel and No. 2 heating oil. It's the company's fourth biodiesel terminal and the first outside of New York. Sprague Energy was the first terminal operator to put biodiesel rack injection systems in its facilities in the Northeast. It is a BQ-9000 certified marketer.
