The Toro Co., a Bloomington, Minn.-based turf and landscape maintenance equipment and irrigation systems manufacturer, has announced that its 2009 model year Dingo TX 525 wide track and TX 525 narrow track compact utility loaders will be biodiesel-compatible for blends up to B20. Earlier in 2008, Toro announced that its landscape contractor, golf course, sports fields and grounds equipment had been certified "biodiesel ready" for B20.
In February 2007, Toro announced it was committed to making many of its 2008 model year equipment "biodiesel ready" and upgrade kits available for existing equipment. In 2002, Toro began testing use of biodiesel blends and B100 in its equipment due to increasing demand for biodiesel compatibility, according to Greg Lawrence, product manager for the Toro Dingo line.
