Brookings, S.D.-based VeraSun Energy Corp. recently announced that Shannon Robinson has been promoted to plant manager at its Charles City, Iowa, ethanol production facility, while Alan Hieb has assumed the plant manger position at VeraSun Welcome, Minn.

Robinson replaces Todd Church who was recently promoted to vice president of plant operations and production support at VeraSun. VeraSun has more than one billion gallons of annual ethanol production capacity in 11 operating facilities. Six more facilities are under construction or in development with a combined capacity of 660 MMgy.
