Webinar features EU Commission on fuel quality directive progress

Two European Commission representatives will be speaking on the progress of the EU's Fuel Quality Directive in a Webinar, 8 a.m. CDT, Wednesday, Sept. 23. In addition to the progress on implementing the new directive adopted earlier this year, the EC spokesmen will address progress in the member states in implementation, the next steps in tightening the Fuel Quality Directive, the targeted greenhouse gas emission reductions and biofuels sustainability criteria.

Both speakers work at the Directorate General for Environment of the European Commission Wojciech Winkler assisted in the Fuel Quality Directive's legislative process and is presently responsible for its implementation. Ariane de Dominicis is coordinating biofuels policies at the directorate.
