West Coast Reduction starts biodiesel distribution

On Jan. 10, West Coast Reduction Ltd. announced it would begin biodiesel distribution from Vancouver, British Columbia. West Coast Reduction operates various rendering plants in Western Canada. The company is also planning to produce biodiesel, according to Grant Saar, biodiesel salesman for West Coast Reduction. Three of the company's existing rendering facilities are being considered, including the Vancouver site. Financing is in place, and production technology has been chosen. Capacity could range from 10 million liters (2.64 million gallons) per year to 40 million liters (10.6 million gallons) per year.
