The third-generation, family-owned Westmore Fuel Co. Inc. is scheduled to hold a grand opening ceremony for its new biodiesel and Bioheat fueling terminal Oct. 10 in Port Chester, N.Y.
The facility will allow for a greater distribution of biodiesel and Bioheat to Westchester County, Downstate New York, Lower Fairfield County and Connecticut.
Speakers include Rick Bologna, the general manager of Westmore Fuel; Tom Verry, director of outreach and development for the National Biodiesel Foundation; Tom Barone, acting vice president for operations and energy service at New York State Energy Research and Development Authority; Christina Ficicchia, executive director for New York City and Lower Hudson Valley Clean Communities; Michael Cooper, vice president director of sales and trading for Ultra Green Energy Services LLC; and Mayor Dennis Pilla of the Village of Port Chester.

The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at 2 Purdy Ave. in Port Chester. Lunch will be served, followed by facility tours.
