Renewable&nbsp;Energy&nbsp;Group Inc. has appointed two new members, Debora Frodl and James Borel, to its board of directors.
&ldquo;After initiating our search process last year, we are excited to add these two exceptional individuals to the REG Board,&rdquo; said Jeff Stroburg, REG board chairman. &ldquo;Deb and Jim bring deep experience in areas key to REG&rsquo;s existing operations and future growth strategy.&rdquo;
Frodl was a senior executive at General Electric where she led a group&nbsp;focused on developing clean technology innovation. Previously, Frodl served as chief strategy officer and global alternative fuels leader for GE and has more than 20 years of experience as a senior executive in GE Capital. She is an ambassador for the Clean&nbsp;Energy, Education &amp; Empowerment for Women Initiative, a collaboration between U.S. DOE, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University. Frodl also serves as a director for the Advanced&nbsp;Energy&nbsp;Economy, an organization of businesses working to make&nbsp;energy&nbsp;secure, clean and affordable.&nbsp;She is serving REG&rsquo;s board as a Class II director with her term expiring at the 2019 annual meeting of stockholders.
Borel retired from DuPont in 2016 as executive vice president. He was responsible for DuPont Pioneer, a major producer of genetically modified organisms, in addition to serving other corporate functions including safety, health and environment; sustainability; government affairs; and more. Borel has worked in the global agriculture and food sectors for nearly 40 years. He is a director for Farmers Edge, Neogen Corp. and Just Inc. Borel is serving REG&rsquo;s board a Class I director and his term will expire at the 2018 annual meeting of stockholders, when he will be nominated for reelection.
REG also announced director Michael Jackson has resigned from the board after serving for 12 years.
