The National Biodiesel Board welcomes the new membership of SolFuels USA LLC. SolFuels brings more than 25 years of experience as a fuel supplier to NBB’s already broad membership base. NBB brings value to members through a strong advocacy presence in Washington, D.C., and in state capitals across the country, a robust technical program, communications resources, and much more.

“We are pleased Solfuels USA sees the value of being a part of the biodiesel industry’s premier association and that they are joining our membership in advancing this industry,” said Brad Shimmens, director of operations and membership. “NBB values each of our member companies and each bring something unique to the table as we work towards sustainable growth of America’s advanced biofuel.”

Led by CEO Henri J. Bardon, Solfuels USA is designed to assist customers with all their biofuels needs. For more than 25 years Solfuels has supplied emission-friendly biodiesel and ethanol fuels on a FOB or CIF basis. Through a partnership with Agritrade Resources, Solfuels recently completed a retrofit of a biodiesel plant in Arkansas, which they will use to produce 3 million gallons per month at full capacity.

“This partnership is in line with our business plan to further expand our operations globally,” said Bardon. “This biodiesel project presents an attractive investment both in terms of value as well as location. We look forward to building excellent business relationships with a strong and committed partner—Agritrade Resources.”

Made from an increasingly diverse mix of resources such as recycled cooking oil, soybean oil and animal fats, biodiesel is a renewable, clean-burning diesel replacement that can be used in existing diesel engines without modification. It is the nation’s first domestically produced, commercially available advanced biofuel. NBB is the U.S. trade association representing the entire biodiesel value chain, including producers, feedstock suppliers and fuel distributors, as well as the U.S. renewable diesel industry.
