BY The California Advanced Biofuels Alliance
The California Advanced Biofuels Conference, formerly known as the California Biodiesel Conference, will take place March 1 at the Capitol Plaza Ballroom, 1025 9th Street, in downtown Sacramento.
The conference is presented by the California Advanced Biofuels Alliance, formerly the California Biodiesel Alliance—the industry’s respected trade association since 2006. CBA voted in December to expand the scope of membership to include organizations that produce or use advanced biofuels.

The theme of the group’s seventh annual conference—Evolve—denotes the changes being encountered by California’s advanced biofuels industry. State agency staff and key experts will detail the range of important 2018 compliance changes under the Low Carbon Fuel Standard, Alternative Diesel Fuel and Underground Storage Tank regulations. The future of the internal combustion engine in California will be tackled head-on by leaders from government and from the environmental and various fuel sectors. Regions will weigh in on the markets in their areas.
Keynote speakers, state Sen. Henry Stern (D) and Assembly Member Rocky Chavez (R), will discuss a “Red, White and Blue View of Biofuel Prospects,” and Mayor Rey Leon of Huron, California, will engage attendees by “Exploring the Environmental Justice Community with CABA.” Featured Speaker, Donnell Rehagen, CEO of the National Biodiesel Board, will present on “The National Biodiesel Board’s Leadership Through Changing Presidential Administrations.”
