Maas Companies will auction a surplus 1.5 MMgy biodiesel equipment package and a 250 kilowatt Cat Generator/Cogen System June 19 through a timed online auction ending at 5 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. The equipment is surplus to BioPur and BioPur Light & Power.
BioPur Inc. opened the first commercial biodiesel production facility in Connecticut in 2006. The plant used batch processing to produce 1.5 MMgy of biodiesel from soybean oil and recycled cooking oil with a dry-wash process.
After a recent acquisition by Darling International, the surplus equipment must be sold. Potential buyers are encouraged to schedule a site visit on June 4 and June 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
