BP Amoco Marketers Association partners with RINAlliance

BP Amoco Marketers Association, a nonprofit organization that represents BP jobber marketers, has partnered with RINAlliance to manage and market RINs. The association consists of nearly 300 BP branded marketers representing 9,000 diverse retail locations. RINAlliance serves hundreds of petroleum marketers with renewable fuel blending and U.S. EPA compliance matters through proprietary software and dedicated specialists. RINAlliance says it focuses on the economics of blending by working with clients on rack pricing, RIN values, federal blender credits, infrastructure, competitive supply options, and other financial incentives.

“The RINAlliance program has provided a simple and profitable way to manage and market our RINs,” said Jim Mulgrew, president of Mulgrew Oil and chairman of BPAMA. “Their technical expertise and focus on compliance provides us the highest level of risk management while increasing profits.”

RIN values are a driving factor in renewable fuel blending, and RINAlliance says the petroleum industry has taken notice of the positive economics associated with renewable fuel blending. “BPAMA believes this new partnership will unlock the doors of the RFS and allow our marketers to better compete in the market,” said Walter Clements, president of BPAMA. “The experts at RINAlliance understand the needs of renewable fuel blenders and we plan on tapping this resource to the greatest extent possible.”

RINAlliance has established a network of qualified renewable fuel producers by working with EcoEngineers to qualify production and RINs. RINAlliance states that this network allows its blenders access to nationwide renewable fuel production and top-tier RIN pricing.
