Just in time for winter, Germany’s biodiesel quality management association (AGQM) has published a new leaflet on the cold properties of biodiesel.
The new leaflet, simply entitled “Cold Properties of Biodiesel,” provides important, clear and concise information on dealing with biodiesel. It explains basic parameters and standards and provides deeper insight into different fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) types and fatty acid patterns, which have a direct impact on the cold flow properties of biodiesel. Furthermore, the document describes the influence of additives and how they work.
The new leaflet complements AGQM’s series of brochures that provide information on tank and storage, biodiesel analytics, recommendations for additional requirements for use as a blend agent, and the transportation of biodiesel.
