Argent Energy, a leading European biofuels manufacturer, has officially launched Europe’s largest facility dedicated to producing biobased, technical-grade glycerin at its Port of Amsterdam site in the Netherlands.
The U.S. exported 81,957.1 metric tons of biodiesel and biodiesel blends of B30 and greater in August, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on Oct. 8. Biodiesel imports were at 80,543.6 metric tons for the month.
A report filed with the USDA FAS Global Agricultural Information Network discusses how China’s domestic biobased-diesel industry has been impacted by the European Union’s provisional antidumping duties on biodiesel and renewable diesel.
Brazilian biodiesel production is expected to increase 18% this year, according to a report filed with the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service’s Global Agricultural Information Network on Aug. 31. Consumption is also forecast to be up 18%.
Legislation introduced in the California State Assembly on Sept. 11 aims to prevent the California Air Resources Board from amending the state’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard regulations prior to Jan. 1, 2026.
