Aspectrics launches biodiesel quality tester

November 20, 2007

Technology developer Aspectrics Corps. launched a new biodiesel quality tester in late October dubbed the Biodiesel Quality Analyzer 1000. The instrument is pre-calibrated for several applications, including analysis of incoming raw material and end-products for contaminants like water, methanol and free fatty acids. Users simply collect samples at various times during the process and insert them into the instrument. An easy-to-use graphical interface allows the user to choose the desired application. "We've really simplified the software interface," explained Jim Yano, vice president of marketing for the company. "We're trying to get this instrument into the hands of as many small and medium facilities as possible."
