Blue Sky Biodiesel hires safety manager, plans to rebuild

Rob Black, managing partner at Blue Sky Biodiesel, the New Plymouth, Idaho, facility that caught fire in July, said storage tanks were back in place and plans were in full swing to salvage the facility to meet a new scheduled start-up date in mid- to late August. In addition, Bill Miller has been hired as the new safety manager at Blue Sky. "He comes from the mining industry and has a lot of experience with on-the-job safety … a lot of practical experience," Black said.
