Green Star Products slated to build North Carolina plant

July 1, 2006

Green Star Products Inc. announced it has signed a contract to provide engineering and construction services for up to a 60 MMgy biodiesel plant near Smithfield, N.C. The facility, which will initially be 10 MMgy, is funded and owned by Renewable Resources International. The plant site is located at a fuel terminal on the Colonial Pipeline, which carries fuel along the East Coast. TransMontaigne and Kinder Morgan currently distribute fuel at the terminal. The biodiesel facility is expected to use Green Star Products' newly developed conversion reactor, which the company claims takes less than two minutes to convert biodiesel.
