GreenShift Corporation lines up source for biodiesel feedstock

GS CleanTech Corp., a subsidiary of GreenShift Corp., finalized an agreement in July with an Arkansas poultry processing facility to obtain animal fat for use as a biodiesel production feedstock. According to David Winsness, CEO of the process engineering division of GS CleanTech, his company will provide the technology for extracting 1 million pounds of animal fat from the poultry producer's waste sludge. The animal fat will be sold to GS CleanTech's sister company GS AgriFuels Corp., which is proposing a biodiesel production plant in the south-central United States.Winsness said the poultry company couldn't be named, as part of the agreement.
