Miami-based Lagosur Corp. has announced a collaboration with Alianza Pacifco to sell biodiesel to the mining and transportation industries in Chili, Peru and Mexico.
“We are delighted to partner with Alianza Pacifco to help Latin America make the move from fossil fuels to renewable energy,” said Jorge Abukhalil, Lagosur’s executive vice president of business development for Latin America. “Although these initial transactions represent the importation of biodiesel, the next step is to bring local biodiesel generation capabilities to Chile, Peru, Mexico and other areas within Latin America. By helping the mining and transportation sectors move even small percentages from traditional fossil fuels to biodiesel, these industries are making a significant impact to fight local and global climate change.”
