Neste Corp. has started collaboration with spoken word artist and YouTube star Prince Ea. Richard Williams, better known by his stage name Prince Ea, is known as a passionate environmentalist and a spokesperson for sustainable lifestyles. His spoken word videos have had over half a billion views on YouTube and Facebook.

Prince Ea is going to join Neste’s forward-looking Pre-order the Future project. Neste has been planning this project for more than a year now and will research how renewable materials can be used to build new kinds of innovative products for the future generations. Pre-order the Future is part of Neste’s continuous work on renewable materials and solutions.

“Our paths crossed at a Sustainable Brands event last year,” said Osmo Kammonen, Neste’s senior vice president of communications and brand marketing. “Prince Ea was invited there as a guest speaker. We immediately fell in love with his attitude and his way of seeing things. You could say that we have a lot in common. We told Prince Ea about our Pre-order the Future project and we asked if he’d be interested in joining our team. We got started right away.”

Prince Ea completes Neste’s Pre-order the Future team as a futurologist. The gifted spoken word artist challenges the company’s thoughts and procedures with both his vision and courage.

“We met in London for the first time and people from Neste came to talk to me,” said Prince Ea. “They told me about their Pre-order the Future project. I’m always really open-minded but I didn't want to rush into anything. We arranged a meeting and it was clear from the beginning how determined they are to make the planet more sustainable. I think there's a lot we can achieve together. You could say that it was an easy call for me.”

The collaboration started in February in San Francisco, when Prince Ea was invited to the Super Bowl City fan event. The Super Bowl City’s generators were running on Neste’s renewable diesel providing cleaner air and green energy for over a million football fans. Prince Ea shared his thoughts with many influencers from James Curleigh, EVP of Levi’s to Deborah Raphael from San Francisco’s Department of Environment on the significance of sustainable renewable solutions.
