The Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) today congratulated member company Trenton Agri Products (TAP) on its 15th anniversary of continuous operations. TAP broke ground on its Nebraska ethanol plant in August 2003 and began operations in March 2004.

TAP operates a 50 million gallon per year ethanol plant in Trenton, Neb., which uses locally grown corn.  The biorefinery also produces distilled corn oil and wet distillers grains, providing a high protein feed to cattle throughout southwestern Nebraska. TAP has been an active member of RFA for all 15 years.

“I can still hear the sound of that initial corn grinding and seeing the computer screen light up when Ralph Scott, our then and current plant manager, hit the ‘start’ button,” said TAP President and current RFA Board Treasurer Charlie Wilson. “As our facility has grown and partnered with key vendors adopting new technologies, our staff and ownership are, with humility, proud to have added significant value to the local economy over the last 15 years,” he added.

“We congratulate TAP for reaching this tremendous milestone,” said RFA President and CEO Geoff Cooper. “TAP has been a longtime fixture in its community, producing a clean, renewable fuel that provides numerous economic benefits, including a value-added market for local farmers and high-paying jobs in the region. This is a day to celebrate and honor the 15 years of hard work by TAP’s investors, board and employees in making this business a success,” he added.
