A new slate of officers was elected at the United Soybean Board annual meeting in St. Louis, Mo. The new chairman, Eric Neimann of Nortonville, Kan., reaffirmed the board's commitment to promoting and developing the biodiesel industry.
Ike Boudreaux of Lebeau, La., was elected vice chairman. Kent Gronlie of Northwood, N.D., will continue in his post as the board's treasurer. Chuck Friedrich of Aurora, S.D., is the board's new secretary.
Biodiesel quality will be a top priority for the board in 2007, Boudreaux said. The board will continue to work through the BQ-9000 program to educate suppliers on the proper handling, storage and transportation of biodiesel.
