Environmental Development Group has put its small-scale biodiesel facility in Tucson, Ariz., up for sale. The plant, EDG Fuels, has installed capacity of 1 MMgy, according to its website, in addition to tank farm storage capable of holding 60,000 gallons of feedstock and 30,000 gallons of biodiesel in an industrial area of the city.
EDG also has available for sale a modular 3 MMgy skid processor.
The company states it is open to negotiation on the sale, including entertaining a lease-purchase agreement.
The process equipment includes feedstock pretreatment units, such as an Alfa Laval MOPX separator, along with a Hielscher ultrasonic reactor, a 2,800-gallon reactor vessel, a polishing column, a wastewater treatment unit and more. BDI-BioEnergy International has signed a contract with Ghent Renewables BV to begin the construction of a pioneering biofuel feedstock refinery plant. Construction is underway and the facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2025.
Verity Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of Gevo Inc., has partnered with Minnesota Soybean Processors (MnSP) to implement Verity’s proprietary track and trace software. The collaboration aims to unlock additional value through export premiums.
IAG and Microsoft are extending their 2023 co-funded purchase agreement for SAF by five years. The SAF used under the agreement will be produced by Phillips 66’s Humberside refinery and LanzaJet’s facility in the U.S.
U.S. exports of biodiesel and biodiesel blends of B30 or greater fell to 7,849.6 metric tons in February, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on April 3. Biodiesel imports were at 21,964.9 metric tons for the month.
Neste and DB Schenker, a logistics service provider, have collaborated to work towards expanding DB Schenker’s adoption of Neste MY Renewable Diesel in Asia-Pacific. DB Schenker trialed the fuel from December 2024 to February 2025 in Singapore.
