Applications are being accepted in Minnesota for the Agricultural Growth, Research and Innovation Bioenergy/Biochemical Pilot Project Grant to provide funding for advancing a bioenergy or biochemical production technology beyond bench or proof-of-concept scale toward commercial scale, through construction and operation of a pilot plant.
The state plans to award up to a total of $150,000 through this program in fiscal year 2019. Up to 50 percent of project costs can be covered by the grant program, with a maximum possible award of $150,000.
The grant program requires funding be used for equipment needed to achieve the goals of the project implementation, or wages, software or other expenses necessary to perform the tasks of the grant project’s work plan. All equipment must be installed in Minnesota and be essential for the execution of project tasks as listed in the project work plan.
Applicants must be based in Minnesota and, along with project partners, be in good standing with the state.
