The IEA on Oct. 9 published its annual Renewables market report, which for the first time includes a chapter focused on renewable fuels that outlines expected growth in liquid biofuels, including SAF, biogas, and other forms of bioenergy through 2030.
The Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation is now accepting applications for the Beth Calabotta Sustainability Education Grant. Established in 2018, the grant aims to support student scientists dedicated to sustainable research.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration maintained its forecasts for 2024 and 2025 biodiesel production in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, released Oct. 8. The forecast for 2025 renewable diesel production was revised down.
Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig announced that the Iowa Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Program Board has approved 126 project applications from Iowa gas stations for new and expanded E15, E85, and biodiesel infrastructure projects.
The U.S. exported 81,957.1 metric tons of biodiesel and biodiesel blends of B30 and greater in August, according to data released by the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service on Oct. 8. Biodiesel imports were at 80,543.6 metric tons for the month.
