Nelson Engineering, Inc. has changed its name and is now Nelson Baker Biotech Inc. An innovative engineering, procurement, and construction firm in the industrial biotech space, Nelson Baker Biotech has expanded into additional industrial biotechnology applications in recent years, including biomass processing, biochemicals and biogas. The new company name now better reflects their expertise.

For the past 12 years, the company has partnered with innovators to design and build state of the art projects within the biofuels industry. The Nelson Baker team has leveraged its technical expertise into new industries and innovative projects. Though the name has changed, the company ownership, culture, and values remain the same.

“While we will continue to serve the biofuels industry, our team has developed expertise in other industries as well. As a full turnkey engineering, procurement and construction firm, we concentrate on projects from beginning to end, not just the engineering. We decided a company name that reflects this expertise was best,” said Tiffany Trottman, business development manager.

With a fresh logo, Nelson Baker’s new branding represents the innovation, creative engineering, and construction services needed to take a project from concept to completion, bringing the pieces together to turn an idea into an ideal reality.

“Nelson Baker Biotech is a leading engineering and construction firm in the industrial biotechnology sector. Aligning our name with our capabilities better communicates the services we provide,” said Jerry Baker, CEO. “It’s been energizing to see how the team’s skillsets and expertise have evolved over time, and now we have a name that better suits our company mission.”
