Neste Corp. has announced that tractor manufacturer Valtra, part of AGCO Corp., is factory-filling its new tractors with Neste MY Renewable Diesel made from waste and residues. Valtra will use approximately 185,000 gallons a year of the renewable diesel for the first fueling of its new tractors, in addition to using the fuel in factory forklifts and more.
“In today's world, it’s important to get through to customers with concrete actions,” said Mikko Lehikoinen, Valtra’s marketing director. “Neste MY gives us an easy way to make our operations more environmentally friendly. We are a large consumer of diesel, so this decision is really important. Our customers are constantly striving to make better choices, and they will definitely take responsibility, as well as environmental and climate-related matters, such as fuel, into account when choosing a tractor manufacturer.”
