In August, U.K.-based biodiesel producer Olleco acquired Convert2Green Ltd., a used cooking oil collection company and biodiesel manufacturer also located in the U.K.
Olleco stated the acquisition is evidence of the company’s continued commitment to achieve its vision of 100 percent resource recovery for the food industry.
With the acquisition, the number of Olleco’s depots across the U.K. has increased to 17 and enables the company to improve efficiencies and coverage to enhance the used cooking oil collection service offered to its customers.

“We are delighted to welcome Convert2Green customers and staff to Olleco,” said Olleco Commercial Director Adam Baisley. “We aim to build on the strong foundation they have established and extend our reliable and award winning services to our new customers.”
In an effort to bring about a circular economy and eliminate landfilled organic materials, Olleco says it ensures all of the organic waste it collects is converted into renewable energy and compost.
