The U.S. Commerce Department announced April 13 initiation of antidumping and countervailing duty investigations of biodiesel imports from Argentina and Indonesia. U.S. producers testified on the same date to the International Trade Commission.
A new state government report shows more than half of Iowa's fuel retailers carried biodiesel in 2016, increasing six percent over 2015. The report showed twice as many gallons of 11 to 20 percent biodiesel (B11-B20) were sold than of lower blends.

Experts from California and all over the U.S. gathered in Sacramento in March to discuss biodiesel in the Golden State. The one-day event, the California Biodiesel Alliance's sixth annual show, addressed challenges and highlighted opportunities.
German biodiesel exports in 2016 reached approximately 463 million gallons, up 3.4 percent. Imports increased 38 percent to roughly 216 million gallons, the highest since 2012. U.S. imports of German biodiesel rose by nearly seven times.
REG announced several recent milestones, including five months of continuous full production in Geismar, 100 percent ownership of Petrotec's assets in Germany, and surpassing 2 billion gallons sold with the second billion coming in just 33 months.
