The prices of ethanol (D6) and biomass-based diesel (D4) RIN credits—the compliance mechanism used for the Renewable Fuel Standard program administered by the U.S. EPA—each fell by more than one third between Sept. 1 and Oct. 16, U.S. EIA data shows.
