An panel of diesel equipment manufacturers and fleets at the National Biodiesel Conference said that biodiesel, renewable diesel and SAF are a key part of their current and future product development plans on the path to a low-carbon future.
The National Biodiesel Board on Jan. 17 named John Benish Jr., president and chief operating officer of Cook-Illinois Corp., and Mahanth Joishy, fleet manager for the city of Madison, Wisconsin, as Biodiesel Ambassadors.

The NBB has welcomed the release of a new report, "The Economic Benefits of the Biodiesel Blenders' Credit," from Capital Policy Analytics. The report calculates annual economic and environmental benefits of U.S. biodiesel production.
Sens. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, on Dec. 14 introduced a bill that aims to prohibit the U.S. EPA from retroactively reducing RFS RVOs. A companion bill is pending in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. has successfully completed its first sustainable biofuel voyage in cooperation with GoodFuels. The M/V Sydney Eagle (2015-built SDARI-64 Ultramax) was bunkered with GoodFuels' advanced marine biofuel.
