Oil Heat Institute of RI rebrands to reflect evolving market

The Oil Heat Institute of Rhode Island has changed its name to the Energy Marketers Association of Rhode Island. The trade group's board of directors voted in favor of the change at its monthly meeting held Oct. 16 at Maria's Cocina in Providence.
Pacific Biodiesel will supply Hamakua Energy with biodiesel to power the 60 MW facility. Both are located on the Big Island of Hawaii and the new contract ensures Pacific Biodiesel's fuel will be used locally, which is a big deal for the company.
The NBF was awarded EPA funding for its 2020 National Clean Diesel Project. In partnership with Iowa DOT, Optimus Technologies and REG, the project supports the purchase of three new replacement snowplows that will operate on B100.
