Green Plains Inc. has released fourth quarter 2017 financial results, reporting the company produced a record 340.8 million gallons of ethanol during the three-month period, up from 334.2 million gallons during the fourth quarter of 2016.

Noble Americas South Bend Ethanol LLC in Indiana was recently purchased by Mercuria Investments US Inc. and changed its name to South Bend Ethanol LLC. Mercuria plans to increase capacity at the facility to approximately 100 MMgy.

ACE schedules 10th annual Washington, DC, fly-in for March 21-22

The American Coalition for Ethanol formally announces the organization's 10th annual Washington, D.C. fly-in will take place March 21-22. During the 2017 fly-in, 75 ethanol advocates met with more than 120 members of Congress from 35 states.
Syngenta has announced an agreement with CHS Inc. to use Enogen corn enzyme technology at its 130-million-gallon ethanol plant in Rochelle, Illinois. Enogen corn enzyme technology is an in-seed innovation that enhances ethanol production.
The USDA has released the January edition of its Grain Crushings and Co-Products Production report, announcing approximately 476 million bushels of corn was consumed for fuel alcohol production in November, up 1 percent from October.
